Things I do to relax

I run or walk. I love being outside. Sometimes, I love to complain about the weather. At the end of a walk or run, all is well with me and the world.
I love going for a bike ride! I could bike for hours and leisurely pace.
I love watching fire! We fired cable tv and hired Apple TV. These days we buy our shows on iTunes and watch exactly what we want with zero commercials lastly, I enjoy browsing and pinteresting. I could happily wander the mall or Pinterest and feel relaxed at the end. So, how do you relax?

Teeny tiny flower

Often, I prefer to post photos of flowers that I have taken. Flowers are very sweet and the smell can be rejuvenating. Its easy to forget the little flowers when stress starts to overwhelm you. If you can keep flowers close by, you can reduce some stress. I can get so wound up in life and challenges that its hard to relax and unwind. Little flowers can help.

Take time to enjoy the little flowers.

Tea

Tea. A time to slow down. Reflect. Relax. Chat. Tea time is not meant to be rushed. Connect with friends. Meet new friends. That's what tea is meant to be.

Lazybones

I know how to work hard and I don't have a problem with that. I also know how to be lazy and relax. Friday is a good day to feel lazy and relax. The weekend can bring busyness or laziness. I am praying for a lazy weekend because it is well-earned from all the hard work during the week.

What to pack

When traveling, there are certain items that must be packed. I prefer to travel with some dice. Its a great way to relax on vacation. On a trip to Key West, my family and I played a Yahtzee tournament. At the end of the trip, one person was crowned the winner and everyone pitched in to buy a really large margarita from Margaritaville.

Good times.

What is a must pack item for you on vacation?

Day at the beach

I miss the ocean, the waves, and everything about the beach. Sand can be a bit of hassle in between my toes but I enjoy listening to the gentle crash of the waves. Seagulls will call out to one another and some waves will be louder than others.

Imagine yourself at the beach and listening to the relaxing sounds. That’s a great way to let stress melt away from your mind, body, and soul. Here’s to a fresh week, full of promise, and moments of relaxation.

Happy Friday!

Today’s rating is Positive.

Sometimes, a break is a necessity. Today, I took an extra 15 minutes to relax and I found it helpful. I was able to get through the rest of the day without any issues. I spent some quality time with my friend and I met some new friends too.

The preparations continue. I am preparing the home for a renter. I have found the task is easier to accomplish when I do it in little steps. I hope to get a sign in the kitchen window, so the neighbors know this unit is available for rent. Its so easy to get overwhelmed with worry and concern because there’s no control over the situation. I can only stay calm because I know God is in control. Thank you Lord! Amen.

Long day

Today’s rating is Positive.

It was a long day at work filled with problem after problem. Some problems, I could handle and some I could not. Today’s phone interview went well and I used many examples from todays work. If the job works out, I know that I can be happy there. If the job does not work out, I know there is something else out there for me.

Today’s recipe to decompress was a nice hot bath. Sometimes relaxing in a warm place is perfect. Tomorrow’s goal is to catch up with some friends.

Day of rest

Today’s rating is Positive.

I have been able to relax, which has been good. I spent a bit of time with a group of Christians from meetup and it was encouraging. Sometimes the best way to beat stress is to hang out with a good group of people and I’ve found meetup a useful way to find other like minded people.

I am staring at another week full of work, stress, and life. I pray that we all have the strength to get through it and make good decisions. Amen.

The night of no sleep

Today’s rating is Positive.

After a night of tossing, turning, and constant thinking I was left with a day of headaches, nausea, and more thinking. I have learned that I am good at negotiating problems and finding solutions. I have a good partner in my husband too. The solutions we find may not be perfect but I believe that God is leading us in the right direction some how.

Tonight, in order to find a good nights sleep, I am going to take a hot bath before bed. I expect that will help relax my body and my mind. We all need sleep and going too long without can lead to more headaches, nausea, and poor decisions.
