Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that today is Thursday and the day is almost over. I have been working so hard at work and at home. I am tired. My nutrition has been ok not counting the chips that I ate today.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life? That's been my problem this week. There's jobs, a condo in Denver, and my home in Oklahoma to worry about. Decisions will need to be made. Research needs to be completed. All at the same time, I am working so hard to get a decent commission at my job.

Dear Lord, Please help me deal with all of life's challenges. Amen.

Changes to come soon

Today’s rating is Positive.

I am going to switch gears on this blog and chronicle more about my life. My current stress relieving tip is to take time out to do something fun. Find your favorite activity and do it. Sometimes, I’ll go browsing for purses and other times I’ll go out for a bike ride. What activity do you find fun?

The job hunt is on pause until the move is complete. The move is a week from today and I am excited for all the changes in store for me. I am continuing to pray for wisdom since there will be many decisions to be made. Dear Lord, Thank you for your protection and wisdom that you provide to me. I need every bit of help! Amen.

Meeting the challenge

Today’s rating is Positive.

Its been good and challenging the last few days. I’ve struggled with making smart decisions and I know that I have to decide what will be best for our home. I am praying that I’ve done well. In the end, God is in charge and all will work out in the long run.

I experienced a small miracle today. I lost my $100 sunglasses a couple of weeks ago and finally decided to call the last business I visited before going home. Turns out my sunglasses were turned in and kept in the company safe until I retrieved them. I was thrilled and I’m still praising the Lord! Amen!

Day of rest

Today’s rating is Positive.

I have been able to relax, which has been good. I spent a bit of time with a group of Christians from meetup and it was encouraging. Sometimes the best way to beat stress is to hang out with a good group of people and I’ve found meetup a useful way to find other like minded people.

I am staring at another week full of work, stress, and life. I pray that we all have the strength to get through it and make good decisions. Amen.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today’s rating is Positive.

We have made smart decisions and we both feel good about it. I have always thought that when I am in complete agreement with my husband, its a sign from God, that we are doing the right thing. I have applied for several jobs at Chase and I hope things will work out there or another financial services firm. I have been in this industry for more than five years and I would like to stay, God willing.

For everyone who feels overwhelmed, remember little steps help you complete a large task. I am in the process of packing the home. I am surrounded by empty and full boxes. Its so easy to think that the task is too much. Don’t let that happen to you. Don’t forget the little steps, which still get the job done.

Happy St. Patrick’s day!

Healthy Choices

Today’s rating is Positive.

I made some healthy choices today. First I spent some time planning with a health coach. I got this service for free from work. I always take whatever is free especially when I need it. After that, I went to the gym and met with a personal trainer. I am excited to see the progress I will get from the extra help.

One of the important issues to watch out for is stress. I read in The 24 Hour Customer that a stressed individual will have a more difficult time making decisions and rely more on the routine function side of the brain. How can we be expected to make healthy choices when we are living with bad habits?

Today, I made some goals. I plan on finding some new friends, find a new job, and get more fit. These are some big goals but I know if I can keep my focus, I will be successful.
