Would you be interested in joining me?

8-parents

Serious Sunday

He is risen!
A holy and joyous day!
He paid the ultimate price for my sins!
Thank You Lord for Your unlimited love, grace, and patience. I always need You in my life.

Amen.

I will be attending church online to avoid the crowds at People's Church.

Thankful Thursday top ten

I am thankful for....
1-cloudy days. Coming from the land of liquid sunshine a good cloudy day warms my soul.
2-a warm cup of tea.
3-loving family. God has blessed me with a wonderful immediate family in the middle of the larger chaotic family.
4-good food and a good home. I am not in need of the essentials. There has been a time when I couldn't afford enough food, not a shining moment in my memories.
5-fun times. I relish the memories of games, long conversations, inside jokes, and good times.
6-passionate kitties. You never know what commitment you've made when you get a pet but ours are sweeties.
7-good friends. I count these awesome people as my family. Some live close and others are far away but I love all my friends. I need to tell them more often!
8-music. Listening or playing. Music is a part of my life.
9-art. I am blessed to have some creativeness in me. Thank You Lord for allowing me to share.
10-God. His mercy, wisdom, grace, and strength is more than I deserve. Yet I receive Him with open arms.

What are you thankful for? Please stay tuned for high five for Friday.

High Five For Friday!

Welcome to High Five For Friday! Thanks Lauren at From My Grey Desk for hosting!
I feel like I should be accepting an award for making it to the end of the week.
Where to begin and who to thank first? I would like to thank my blogger friends for the encouraging comments. Thank you Subway for fueling me and a huge thank you to God for miraculously getting me through a challenging week.
Whew!
Dinner Sunday night was Dungeness Crab, a west coast treat. I love you West Coast!
This is the banana bread from Sunday, which had questionable bananas from the freezer but still worked out.
McNellies $3 burger deal and turns out there was a $3 beer deal too! Score on Wednesday!
Hilton Skirvin Christmas tree. This photo was taken last week and I'm finally sharing some Christmas love with you wonderful readers.
Thank you iPhone for taking these lovely photos. Please stay tuned for Silly Saturday.

Top Pic Tuesday

If God can create such stunning beauty that lasts for a second, then isn't laughable that I worry about my problems. I love taking photos of flowers. They are absolutely gorgeous but don't last long at all. (Especially if I am taking care of the plant since I do not have a green thumb.) I am very thankful to God for taking care of my needs, even when I don't realize he is at work (which is probably most of the time.) Please remember, if you would like to borrow these photos, you can but link back to me. If you would like a hard copy, I would love to get it printed for you and sent out, free of charge. I love to share.
Please stay tuned for Weight Loss Wednesday.
I'm linking up with Melissa at The Life of A Not So Ordinary Wife.

Thankful Thursday

Welcome to Thankful Thursday, a mental exercise in good health. There are many things to be thankful for but at times life and stress become overwhelming. These are the moments when being thankful is critical. Today, I am thankful for nature. The peacefulness, the calmness, the greenery are all perfect to me. I don't get to enjoy nature enough. While I am in a state that doesn't boast many natural beauties, there are still opportunities to enjoy God's bounty.
Let's all stop and smell the roses.
(If anyone wants to buy me roses, especially my hubby, that is A-Ok by me.)
Please stay tuned for High Five For Friday.

Serious Sunday

Its a serious Sunday. I believe this blog to be an entertainment blog, especially with all the fun photos I post. I also have used this blog as a form of therapy and at times find that I still need assistance with stress relief.
"Don't be afraid of failure"
Have you heard that phrase or something similar? I most certainly have. My question to the universe is, how can I be afraid of failure in the midst of feeling like a failure?
There I said it.
I feel like a failure.
I spent three years studying and working on an MBA in Finance. Once I graduated, I couldn't find a job with my degree but I already had one and knew that I would be moving within a couple of years. Then I moved. The best job I could obtain was a customer service/sales job. What was all that work for? Why do I have to pay a mortgage sized student loan payment with a baby paycheck? My boss keeps telling me that my paycheck can be better if I sell more. I'm not impressed, interested or motivated any longer. After securing this job, I continued the hunt; actively and aggressively looked for a new job. I was ignored by every company. I paid hundreds of dollars for a streamlined professionally written resume and found nothing but more sales jobs. I found a placement agency that is looking for work for me and has sent me on some interviews but still nothing has transpired.
I can't do it on my own.
I can't find a job with a placement agency.
I need a miracle from God.
If God can erase three of my sister's medical bills, couldn't he also erase student loans?
Dear Lord, I know you have a plan. I know its your timing. I know that I am getting tired of the depressing view in my life. Please come. Please show me your miracles. Thank you and Amen.

Dear Bloggy Friends,
Please come back tomorrow, where I promise to be more positive for Make a Difference Monday.
Thank you!

Thankful Thursday

Welcome to Thankful Thursday. I am thankful for the ocean. Whenever I think of it, I reminded of God's majesty. The crashing waves, the never ending horizon, the sand.  It's beautiful. What are you thankful for today?

I really like Melissa of Grin and Barrett and her post was a very good thankful post today. I'd recommend you read it.
