Busy weekend

I have been so busy this weekend. I have moved two minivan loads into the new storage unit. I volunteered at a race. I have packed more boxes. I even made a batch of cookies.

It's been a fun weekend too. I invited my girlfriends to come over for girls night. We had fun chatting and watching a movie. I can't wait to move and have another girls night.

I am still praying for a miracle. My condo in Denver needs someone to live in it. God will provide.

Is it just me, or do weekends seem busier than the workweek?

How to stay positive

1: Find things to smile at. If you need inspiration, look at a flower or look at the comics.
2: Think about something good. It can be anything good like good food or a good experience.
3: Breathe. Deep breathing gives you extra oxygen to stay positive.
4: Move. Get up for a walk. Take a yoga class. Any kind of movement will help you stay positive.
5: Pray. God gives generously to those who ask and asking to stay positive is a request that won't be ignored.

Changes to come soon

Today’s rating is Positive.

I am going to switch gears on this blog and chronicle more about my life. My current stress relieving tip is to take time out to do something fun. Find your favorite activity and do it. Sometimes, I’ll go browsing for purses and other times I’ll go out for a bike ride. What activity do you find fun?

The job hunt is on pause until the move is complete. The move is a week from today and I am excited for all the changes in store for me. I am continuing to pray for wisdom since there will be many decisions to be made. Dear Lord, Thank you for your protection and wisdom that you provide to me. I need every bit of help! Amen.

Thankful Thursday

Today’s rating is Positive.

I’m thankful for many things. The weekend is around the corner. The move is in two weeks. There are two sweet kitties that give me love and support. My husband is a strong supportive man. I have had good experiences and good friends from my job. I have learned so much about myself and how strong I am.

One of the biggest pieces to my life is Jesus. He saved my life and I am so thankful. I am undeserving as well but somehow God still loves and supports me. God is the reason I find strength to get through each day. Thank you Lord for sending your Son to save a worthless person like me. Amen! Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter!

The very best

Today’s rating is Positive.

Not because of weather though. Yesterday, I was able to get adequate help move all the boxes from my house to a storage unit and then down the hall to another storage unit. It took the bulk of the day and it totally wiped me of all energy. It was good though because the house looks reasonably livable now.

The very best thing to help with stress and live a happy life is friends and family. Since there’s no family here, I am happy to say I still have good friends who are there for me whenever. Its encouraging and helps me keep my spirits up. If you have had a rough day or week, check in with a friend and you will feel better. Thanks to all my friends for your fantastic support!

It's another fresh start

Today’s rating is Positive.

I managed to get really frustrated and upset at work and then turn things around before the end of the day. I was upset because I thought that one of two things were going to happen: 1) my move would be messed up or 2) I’d miss out on the bonus payout. Through my strong negotiation skills, I managed to tread some tough waters and find a happy ground for myself and the company. What’s weird is I have to work one hour on my last day to qualify for the bonus. Its totally worth it.

I met up with a friend for dinner which was great! We needed to catch up and hang out. I hope to hang out a few more times before moving. Its always encouraging to be around good company. I also met my neighbor, who is a nice guy going through a rough patch. If I can get through tough times, I bet he can too.

At the end of the day, I can say its been a success. Tomorrow, I will be working on prettying the home up for showings. Thanks for your prayers and Happy Weekend!

Moving day decided

Today’s rating is Positive.

We found out about an apartment that will be ready for us in time and its decided that we will be moving into this home. Its exciting to have a definitive date. I am now praying for the tenant to be found for our existing home and I am praying that this move can be smooth. We have had a lot of moves and in our experience its harder and more expensive than planned. I have come to accept this as fact. On a good note, I packed one box today. Yay me!

Dear Lord, please help us find the right tenant, and find the right amount of cash to afford the move. Please provide me the right job so I can be helping with the expenses. Amen!

Long Week Brings Weekend

Today’s rating is Positive.

Reflecting on this week, I took several steps back on dealing with my stress. I had two days of depression but it felt much more like two weeks. I am happy to be moving forward again and that the pain is now over. I was able to get past the down days with support from my family and friends. I am loved by them and loved by God. That feels good and I want to say thanks to all of you!

There will be changes and challenges with the move. I know that God will give me the strength to get through it all. I still haven’t found a job but God will provide somehow for the bills. My Key West dreams will come true in His timing and we will be a family again in short order.

TGIF!

I'm being honest

Today’s rating is positive.

I haven’t organized my posts. I haven’t been organized enough to plan and prepare in advance. Most times, I sit down and write what’s on my heart. You have been gracious enough to read and sometimes comment too. I appreciate your comments. It makes me feel that you are right there listening and telling me your ideas.

I am still waiting to hear about the opportunity in a new state and a new city. I am anxious to find out. In the mean time, I am preparing for the move across state lines. I don’t know what God has in store for me. I am here and ready. I feel prepared to make the move emotionally. Now it’s time for the confirmation. I hope to get the news tomorrow.

I am on a trip this weekend and will post any news on facebook and twitter. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you Lord for staying by my side.
