Ryan Christopher Art at Graphite OKC

Graphite OKC is an art gallery in the Plaza District of Oklahoma City. The district is having
Plaza Festival on September 24th.
We were able to secure a couple of walls and hope to sell some of Ryan's art.
It was a lot of work getting everything laid out evenly but the finished product looks great! If you're in the market for some contemporary local art, please come out! Graphite is open Wednesday through Saturday noon to 8pm! If you're not local, you can still check Ryan's art out on his website. Please let me know what you think. I'm always looking for feedback to share with him.

Running and weekending

Started #Sunday with a #kickass #run! I couldn't find my ankle brace so I #ran without it, which felt fine. A little slow on the pace but I went up and down through heritage hills. #runner #runnergirl #womenrunning #runnerproblems #injuredrunner #okc #ok #okwb #myoklahoma #runokc #runok #nike #nikerunner #run
We went to The Wedge in Deep Duece after a bunch of beers at Tapwerks yesterday. It was a good decision and there were leftovers. The best!
Dead Guy Ale is back in Oklahoma City! We had it at The Root and at Tapwerks! The beer distributor gave us a t-shirt too, which was super cool.
Ryan's art is up at The Root this month and next month, we'll have it at another gallery. If you haven't gotten his book, you should! It's called "A Man Between Sunset and Wisteria" and it's an adventure/mystery/love book.

Running and painting

I had a fabulous #run this morning! My ankle felt awesome until just before the 3 mile mark. I missed running with @runhers because it was too north for me but I know all my Edmond running buddies were happy for that location. My @nike app died Thursday night and I haven't gotten it revived yet. I hope deleting it and downloading again will fix the problem. I looked into a chiropractor for my ankle and I decided against that treatment. I'll look into physical therapy still and running in a pool. The #healing continues. The painting behind me is done by @ryanchristopherart and it's basically me. There's gold on it! #Acrylic #acrylicpainting #art #artist #gold #painting #painter #okc #paseoartsdistrict #art #artist #runner #runnergirl #womenrunning

Chomps is such a sweet kitty! We might go to the movies today and if so I should write a review. Happy Saturday friends!

Running

Another #run logged in the books. I did #intervaltraining again and managed to pick up the pace from Saturday's run. It was definitely warm but not uncomfortable. These #6am runs are worth it in the #summer! My #injuredankle felt pretty good but there was a moment of discomfort. The #healingprocess continues. #art is courtesy of @ryanchristopherart. #Acrylic #acrylicpainting #art #artist #gold #painting #painter #okc #paseoartsdistrict #art #artist #runner #runnergirl #womenrunning #runnerproblems #injuredrunner #okc #ok #okwb #myoklahoma #runokc #runok #nike #nikerunner #run
Yesterday, we stayed in and watered the grass and sat in the sprinkler. It was lovely. I also did my meal prep.
And I practiced the piano!
That was awesome! I can't play The Pink Panther anymore but I'll get that back up again.
I also did all the laundry. So it was a productive day for sure! Saturday was a rediculous day of drinking and I had fun. I hope my waistline doesn't get me back for it.

Hump day

It's the middle of the week.
I managed to miss the opening of the new Savings and Loan Bar. My blogger friend Bacon and Braids made it. #jealous FYI, this drink is from Paris.
I ate the rest of this ice cream. It's guilt free. If you get a chance, check out Ryan Christopher Art. He's made some updates to his website.

#fail and #winning

I thought I was helping Ryan Christopher sell art and find beta readers. The result was an unhappy husband. #nevergonnawin
I finished myfitnesspal diary yesterday and I was under my calories. Too far under. The app yelled at me (not really) and refused to tell me my projected weight loss. #rude
#winning. I made it to the gym in time to catch the sunrise and a good workout. #anklegate is still an issue but it doesn't hurt that much.
#winning I'm still on track with my 7 day challenge. Blogging, tracking calories, and reading the bible. I haven't gotten registered for global entry but that should be tomorrow.

#GOALS

I'm challenging myself to a 7 day list of goals.
1. Complete myfitnesspal entries every day.
2. Blog every day. I do have things to write about. It's all in my head right now.
3. Keep up with my bible reading plan.
4. Register for Global Entry.
5. Work on marketing Ryan Christopher Art every day.
Most all of these goals are something I will need to do every day. Except for the Global Entry. I'm pretty sure that nobody reads my blog anymore since I've renamed it. I'll have to get on that as well.

Things Thursday

I got police reports and went out to lunch.
This pizza has avocado on it. It's from Pizza 23 on 23rd Street in OKC.
Then I ran 3 miles at a decent pace to get to a baseball game. It rained the entire run and when we were done, we froze to death. Which explains why there are no more photos.
Ryan is getting excited for his show and made this Instagram. Off to bed, for my early body pump wake up call.

Buffalo, New York

We went out to Buffalo New York to visit family. We ate lots of good food!
These are the original Buffalo Wings. I forgot to take the pic but fortunately Blue was on top of it.
We had lots to drink as well. Including, craft beer!
This is a true Beermosa with beer and champagne. It was good!
I got a run in too!
We saw Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. It was a little weird being in Canada on the east coast. I have not done that before. The falls were beautiful and we took a ride on the Hornblower. It's basically the same thing as the Maid of the mist but on the Canadian side.
It snowed while we were there. The look on my face is priceless.
Breakfast burrito with egg whites, avocado and turkey.
We also went to the art museum for some culture. In the end, it was a good but quick trip. It was also not really a vacation. I did have fun touring around the area but there's always a big hassle visiting family because they have kids. Going to the store is a giant ordeal that takes 3 times as long as it normally should.
Obviously, I am pleased to come home to two kitties. Those little furry dudes are work too but they don't get in the way of going to the grocery store and they do sleep a lot.
Beef on weck. Interesting Buffalo roast beef sandwich. The name is more interesting than anything else. In other news, the ankle is healing and I have another physical therapy session tomorrow. The half marathon is just a week away! I am not ready but I am going to have fun!

Stuff and things

"Linking" up with my girls Kristin and Joey. The link is in the sidebar.
1-I'm currently being orbited by stress from various sources. So I'm implementing my stress reduction strategies. (Future blog post.)
2-I weighed in yesterday and did not lose any weight. On the plus side, I didn't gain any weight. Winning.
3-I'll be brewing my third batch of beer this weekend.
4-I ran 7 miles on Sunday and I'm still feeling it. My shoes have kicked the bucket early. Everything is cracking, popping and hurty. I press on and will be running in the new shoes for all long runs.
5-I played piano last night. It was awesome. There's no photo of that.
6-I'm running lots of races and I'm excited. My hubby is not. Somehow it's my fault the plane tickets cost 50k to 80k miles. And the dates he wanted were a race weekend.
7-Maybe I'm not winning after all.
8- All the art came down. Nothing sold. I press on and will get him into more art galleries.

Paris recap day 2

I imagine that you are already feeling some jealousy. After all, I was in Paris on Christmas Day.
Day two, was primarily spent in the Louvre. Tell me that glass pyramid feels out of place. The Louvre is from the 1600 and 1700s. The glass pyramid seems too modern to me.
We walked around admiring all the art and I snapped selfies along the way. One place I did not snap a selfie was the Mona Lisa. There was a crowd of 50 people and they were all snapping selfies. It seemed cliche to copy those folks. True story:everyone walked past five Davinci masterpieces to check out the Mona Lisa. Some people missed out.
We had a light lunch. I asked for a croissant and the reply was, we only have chocolate. I happily agreed to the substitution. Ham and cheese is apparently a standard lunch option. Hubby had that. We enjoyed this lunch in the Louvre so we could continue the adventure.
Double espressos for everyone.
Hubby is enjoying his espresso. Shameless plug here, he is an artist and currently displaying his work at Picasso Cafe in Oklahoma City. I'm excited, obviously. When I'm excited, I repeat myself a lot. That's just the way I roll. I drive him nuts sometimes. Haha!
This is the victory statue from Greece. Very cool!
For dinner, there was more bread and we tried Duck Confit.
We love duck but we don't necessarily enjoy things fried. So that was a flop.
Of course there was another double espresso. From here we went to a snack shack for Diet Coke and Pringles. We snuck crown and jack with our toothpaste and drank in our room while we tried to find something on the tv. We watched pawn stars dubbed in French. It was the best we could do. Normally, we would have a Yahtzee tournament but we forgot the dice. The electronic dice lead hubby to believe I'm cheating. Monday was our shortest step day. Only 13,300 steps.
