Weigh in Wednesday

This is my day via Instagram.
@goldsgym for #lesmills #bodypump and I went down in weight because I thought my form was slacking. Also, I weighed in and lost a pound! #boom! #kickingbutt #losingweight #strengthtraining #weighttraining #pumpit #okc #ok #okwb #myoklahoma
#oklahoma #sunrise and @thinkthinbars for #breakfast. #heckyeah #yum #esthereats #food #foodie #myfitnesspal #eatinghealthy #okc #ok #okwb #myoklahoma
I was trying to capture the bar and the sunrise and I realized that it had to be one or the other. Sunrises are cool.
#second #breakfast! The label has the calories at 480 and protein at 27 grams and the fat was high. I'll #run it off tonight. #yum #esthereats #food #foodie #myfitnesspal #eatinghealthy #okc #ok #okwb #myoklahoma And that was a very tasty breakfast taco.
#lunch! @starkistcharlie #thai style #tuna #wrap with #vegetables and #veggiestraws #yum #esthereats #food #foodie #myfitnesspal #eatinghealthy #okc #ok #okwb #myoklahoma I'm in love with the veggie straws. They're mostly potatoe, which might be why I thin there awesome.
After my #kickass run with @redcoyoterunning in #deepduece, I skipped the #beer and went home for #dinner. I opted for a runny egg over my #grilled #vegetables and #chicken. It was #heavenly! My #injuredankle had some painful moments. I'm not done healing yet. I hope soon though.
My goal was to photograph all the food that I ate. I was pretty close. I didn't photograph the strawberries in a jar, the salmon bites (2) and the Ben and Jerry's ice cream with whipped cream (I only had 1/3 of those personal sized containers and a lot of whipped cream because it's my favorite.)

Running and painting

I had a fabulous #run this morning! My ankle felt awesome until just before the 3 mile mark. I missed running with @runhers because it was too north for me but I know all my Edmond running buddies were happy for that location. My @nike app died Thursday night and I haven't gotten it revived yet. I hope deleting it and downloading again will fix the problem. I looked into a chiropractor for my ankle and I decided against that treatment. I'll look into physical therapy still and running in a pool. The #healing continues. The painting behind me is done by @ryanchristopherart and it's basically me. There's gold on it! #Acrylic #acrylicpainting #art #artist #gold #painting #painter #okc #paseoartsdistrict #art #artist #runner #runnergirl #womenrunning

Chomps is such a sweet kitty! We might go to the movies today and if so I should write a review. Happy Saturday friends!

Running

Another #run logged in the books. I did #intervaltraining again and managed to pick up the pace from Saturday's run. It was definitely warm but not uncomfortable. These #6am runs are worth it in the #summer! My #injuredankle felt pretty good but there was a moment of discomfort. The #healingprocess continues. #art is courtesy of @ryanchristopherart. #Acrylic #acrylicpainting #art #artist #gold #painting #painter #okc #paseoartsdistrict #art #artist #runner #runnergirl #womenrunning #runnerproblems #injuredrunner #okc #ok #okwb #myoklahoma #runokc #runok #nike #nikerunner #run
Yesterday, we stayed in and watered the grass and sat in the sprinkler. It was lovely. I also did my meal prep.
And I practiced the piano!
That was awesome! I can't play The Pink Panther anymore but I'll get that back up again.
I also did all the laundry. So it was a productive day for sure! Saturday was a rediculous day of drinking and I had fun. I hope my waistline doesn't get me back for it.

Randoms

I am getting my hair freshened up. I love blonde hair and my natural color refuses to be blonde.
I ran in the heat this morning and managed a slow 13 minute mile. Then I went to get the MRI on my ankle.
That was really weird and loud. The tech said the pictures were good for the doctor. I'll find out Thursday what is in my ankle.
This snack was fabulous. #cheese makes the world go round.

The ankle saga continues

I sprained my ankle on February 18 and it hasn't been the same since. I rested it some and maybe that wasn't enough.
Resting is not that much fun though. The pain hasn't been that bad but it is also not back to normal. At my follow up appointment the doctor recommended an MRI.
I'm a little scared of the machine but it's about time that I get this ankle healed. I have lots of future runs to get to.
I have some more Barbados to recap and a follow up post on the beer that I made. Those will be later this week.

March recap and ankle update

It's hard to read but I made it to 38 miles and a lot of that was walking. I reinjured my ankle March 4 at the stupid Glo Run and then ran 7 miles the following morning.
This resulted in a swollen ankle. I finally went to the doctor and confirmed that nothing is broken. Thanks to Lori for telling me to check out the doctor.
He recommended physical therapy and the therapist taped my ankle.
My first run back last night was a success! Now I have my exercises and a plan to strengthen the muscles around the ligaments.
Apparently, ligaments don't snap back to regular length. It's weird because the ankle is tight but the ligaments are loose and the muscles are not strong.
Bible reading goal: I've been on top of it! I forgot a couple of weekends but I got back on it!

St. Patrick's Day in OKC

Anklegate, 2016. My ankle is still injured. This run was on March 12th and it was a toughy. After that, I walked an additional 3 miles to Tapwerks for Oklahoma City's St. Patrick's day parade and celebration. We started early and arrived at 11am, just in time to get the last two barstools.
I had a great time drinking Guinness and watching the festivities from my stool.
We had snacks (thank goodness!) and one shot each.
We left Tapwerks at around 4pm and felt accomplished for making it most of the day.
On our way home, we grabbed fuzzy breakfast burritos and urberd home. I'm pretty sure uber is a verb these days. It was time to spring forward and we snuggled into bed early. It was a successful St. Patrick's Day celebration.
On the beer front, the yeast is still at it but I can tell it's slowing down.

Kegging beer

A fellow brewer in Red Earth Brewers home brew club came to my house to help me keg Blonde Moment. It was incredibly easy and fast.
After getting the beer into the keg, he brought co2 to force carbonate the keg.
After that, I kicked the keg for awhile to make sure there was enough air pushed into the keg.
Then we tried it and it was warm but it is still good.
Update on the ankle, I'm still healing. I slept with the brace on last night and that was a little too much compression. Ouch!  I'm undecided on seeing a sports medicine doctor. Does the doctor have time, is there anything a doctor can even do? I suspect there isn't anything that can be done. I may just wait and trust the healing process.
