Found it!

I went to Target to get a new Camelbak bottle and I found a Coke Zero with my name on it! I had to have it and then I started looking for more. There were none. Boo! I'm quite pleased with myself for two reasons: I found it and it's my favorite. (Technically, I like all the versions of Coke Zero.) I'm also pleased to find a Diet Coke with Ryan's name on it (cue anniversary photo next week.) Lastly, I found candy corn for Kristin's box.
Ryan is way easy to find.
My newest hobby is sweaty selfies. I'm also sad to have not lost a pound but happy to have not gained a pound. I will continue to find what works for me.
Turns out a brand new bike requires a tune up. I'm quite on this but I brought it in yesterday. I do hope it will be ready by the weekend. I have zero plans for the holiday but I always manage to find fun. Do you have any holiday plans?

A letter...

...to the 140s.
Dear 140s,
We have seen each other far too many times to count. I'm looking forward to saying goodbye and I hope its the last time I see you. However, I lose my focus and you have been too easy to return. I will continue my training and tweaking nutrition until you are gone. The struggle between us is real but I will prevail in the end.
Sincerely,
E
*I'm only halfway serious in this post and I'm linking up with the weigh in wednesday girls in spirit. It's too busy for blogging activities at work.

Stuff and things

I'm linking up with Joey and Kristin.
-Weigh in went well and I lost a pound! Woot! Woot!
-Then I ate a 5 course vegetarian dinner at Picasso Cafe. Womp. Womp. It was delicious though!
The wine pairings were amazing and way over my calories.
-And then, I made chocolate stout beer brownies! See I'm not doing myself any favors. The brownies are for tomorrow's Red Earth Brewers meeting. Since I haven't brewed yet, I thought boozy brownies would be acceptable.
-Lastly, I spent most of my day debating with my husband on his latest painting. I said it's good. He said it was not. Now, I'd like to put it to a vote. Please post a comment about his painting so I can prove to him that I am right.
His website is ryanchristopherart.com but this painting is not on there.

Weigh in Wednesday

I thought it would be a good idea to link up with my friends Erin at She's a big star and Heather at Pretty Strong Medicine. Last week I weighed in and managed to maintain my weight. I wanted a loss but I wasn't too upset. This week, I weighed in and lost exactly one pound. Yay!

I will be in Antigua in 30 days and I would like to lose 3 or 4 more pounds. I'm not going to hold my breath though. I can't wait to enjoy a nice vacation. I'm trying to figure out my nutrition plan while I'm there. I think I will have to focus on the protein and not worry about the calories. This may be ambitious but I hope to run 3 miles every day. I will have another half marathon to run at the end of April. I'll want to keep the mileage coming.

Weigh in Wednesday

I've gained about 3 pounds in one week or 4 pounds in two weeks. That's just crazy. I'm going to research vegetarian sources of protein and see if I can use that to lose the weight before sandals. It's only 58 days and I'm not sure that's enough time.
I'm sure the beer has something to do with it. I'm not sure I want to quit drinking beer. That seems unreasonable especially since I want to brew. The balance is out there. I haven't found it yet.

Weigh in Thursday - Half Marathon training update

I am late to the weigh in wednesday crowd but I still want in! I'm linking up with Erin at She's A Big Star, Ashley at Ash's Right Direction, and Heather at Pretty Strong Medicine.

Not sure if that is visible or not but I did lose 2.2 pounds since my last weigh in of over a month ago! I'll take that loss as a win! The half marathon is moving along smoothly and today I ran 5 miles in the morning. And at lunch, I stuffed myself on BBQ meat, BBQ sauce, and the berry cobbler. The win here is that I didn't eat any of the other sides (holla at ya mac and cheese, I missed ya!). It was tough but it wasn't that bad.

Just a little reminder to myself, that it is only 71 days until I head off to Sandals Reunion week and Antigua. I can't wait! And I was over the moon excited when my bloggy bff, Kristin at Kristin's kNook took my suggestion and tried a pizza place in Denver. I'm sorry the service wasn't there but the crust is delicious right? You have to go to her blog to check out her pics. Its been too long since I've been in Denver.

Finally, the Go Girl half marathon is before my Antigua trip and I'm logging more miles. Saturday will be 7 miles and the ramping up will continue until March 22nd. Woot! Woot!
Linking also with Kristin at Kristin's kNook and Joey at Hodges Podges for Stuff and things.

Weight Loss Wednesday

It is obvious to me that I do have a problem with food. I do not know portion control and self control. Last night, I was at Bricktown Brewery enjoying a good bye party for my friend. Congratulating her on the move to Dallas. (A bigger and better city than Oklahoma City, in my mind. Sorry, Okies. I haven't embraced OKC fully yet. I blame that on the tornadoes.)

Chips were ordered and I didn't stop eating them. I dipped in the guacamole and queso for most of the night. Then I had the brilliant idea to order a chicken quesadilla. Which I ate more than half. Topped off with 3 Coors light. I was not ready to weigh in this morning. I dreaded it. I went to spin class and then after I did step on the scale.

137.6

This is exactly one pound more than last week. I had to look into the myfitnesspal archives to feel better. Over a year ago, I weighed in at 142. In 2008, I weighed in over 149. Progress has been made. I know some of that pound is from last night but I have to believe some of that pound is from muscle gain. Two weeks ago, I switched to classes instead of mostly running. Monday/Wednesday is spin and Tuesday/Thursday is body pump.

Lastly, I can't look to just the scale. How do my clothes feel? I know from past experience what feels tight in my clothes and that's not what I'm feeling today. Progress has been made. While I know the struggle will never end and I know I have a problem, I will continue my journey and focus on good health.

The scale is a JERK.

Here's a another photo of Chomps and Kirby. They are cute and annoying at the same time. I'm linking up with Ashley at Ash's Step in the Right Direction for Weigh In Wednesday.

High Five For Friday

I am so excited for tomorrow! I am getting my hair colored! I am ready to look awesome and perhaps I'll share with you all how good I'm looking.
This week was fairly successful in the kitchen and I was over calories but just barely most days. Here's to a good weigh in tomorrow. Are you excited for the weekend too?
I am linking up with the best blogger Lauren at From My Grey Desk.
Please stay tuned for Silly Saturday.
