Blogging in real time and selfie Sunday

Some of my favorite bloggers have been writing a post and immediately publishing it. I'm a mobile blogger and all my posts are in real time.

Thanksgiving, I ran the turkey trot in Edmond. My first run since the Route 66 half marathon. It was a great come back run.
I was kinda slow but that's ok. I need to rest up before I get back to speediness.
I was a pirate after the run and I drank rum and ate crab legs. We call it "the pirates thanksgiving."
Friday night, I enjoyed the thunder game and some knick butt kicking! It was an awesome game and everyone loved my hat!
Saturday, I ran 4 miles and enjoyed the best breakfast burrito and pretty mocha.
Then, I hopped on my cruiser bike and went to my personal mug at McNellies.
Once we got home, the kitties decided to be super cute.
Yes, Chomps is sitting on top of Kirby. This looks uncomfortable but they seemed happy. And right now, I'm at church hosting the online chat. Peopleschurch.tv

Most of these photos were on my Instagram. Please friend me if you haven't already. Was that too many photos? I think not.

Top Pic Tuesday

Welcome to Top Pic Tuesday, where I enjoy sharing my favorite photos that I have taken. This photo is from Jamaica. I have an affinity for texture and lines. This is the shadow of the fence at the Bob Marley Mausoleum. I thought shadows would be fun to photograph, especially when there's a unique pattern. As I have gone around snapping shadows, its just not clear that these photos are as much fun as I originally thought but this one turned out alright.
What do you think of this photo?
I am linking up with Rachel at Lala Lists for Loving Lately.
Please stay tuned for Weight Loss Wednesday.

High Five for Friday Fall Swap Reveal

Its high five for Friday and I couldn't be more pleased that I survived another week. This week, I get to reveal some goodies from the "It's the Great Pumpkin Swap" sponsored by my favorite bloggy friends Kristin of Kristin's kNook and Allie at A Day In a Joyful Life. Kudos to both of you for creating a fun swap. My swap buddy was Mei at Diary of a Fair Weather Diver. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other and Mei was so kind to send a little toy for my kitties. Chomps enjoyed the catnip immensely. Please go check out these beautiful ladies blogs and tell them I said hi. (Whenever my hubby is on the phone with his friends or family, I always tell him to say hi for me while he's talking. He doesn't like it but most times he will say "Esther says hi." Hahaha! Really the only person I crack up is me, I'm not that funny to anyone else.)

On a separate note, tonight is the Red Dot Auction at IAO. Hopefully, my photo will get sold and help raise money for this lovely art gallery in downtown OKC. Thanks and please stay tuned for Silly Saturday.

Top Pic Tuesday

This is a photo that I am donating to the Individual Artists of Oklahoma also known as IAO. There will be Red Dot Auction on November 9th and some lucky bidder will get to take this lovely photo home. I am very excited to participate in this auction and it makes me feel more like an artist. Since I work a regular job that does not satisfy, I don't feel as though I am truly an artist.
Do other artists have regular jobs too?

Top Pick Tuesday

All images are copyrighted 2008
As time allows I will post a story of my Greece adventure but I don't want to be late.
Our trip to Greece was adventurous. Travelling through the sleepy Greek islands on a yacht was incredible. You get to know the other travellers quickly since its tight quarters. Before joining the yacht, we spent two glorious days in Mykonos. The photo above is from there. Touring the city was wonderful and we were able to do it all on foot. I was able to find the same Gyro station multiple times even though the streets and alleyways were so windy. I'm blessed with an excellent sense of direction (hubby was not gifted with that.) I absolutely adore this photo and I hope you do too.

Top pick Tuesday

All of my photos are copyrighted. I do need to learn how to put a pretty watermark on the photos. For this photo, I was using a canon elph along the east coast of Australia. I didn't know how to use my camera. (Crazy but true confession.) Somehow, I was stuck on the black and white setting. It was serendipity however. This photo turned out gorgeous. I appreciate any comments you may have to share and thanks for stopping by!

Thankful Thursday & Instagrid Party

Welcome friends to thankful Thursday and the instagrid party! Today, I'm thankful for funny stories. A good laugh is excellent medicine. The photo was Grandma-in-law's birthday and father-in-law put a candle for every year of her life. Honestly, I can't remember how many candles but it is more than 50. The smoke alarm went off and Don's eyebrows were slightly burnt. We were busting up laughing and the picture tells the story. That was a moment I'd like to relive. Maybe Ryan could do that to my cake but not any time soon. :)I'm repeating some photos for the instagrid party because the photos are so fun! Thanks to Anne at And Everything Nice blog for hosting the instagrid party. I hope your button gets fixed soon.END

Perspectives photo challenge in Black and White

I wanted to participate in the black and white photo challenge but I couldn't get it posted on Friday. I think you will agree that these are some of my best photos and I am so excited to share them with you. The first two are in Seattle. The space needle is my number one photo, in my opinion. The final photo was in Australia and I don't know which beach but it was definitely the east coast. I would also like to share with you about perspectives. My husband and I were separated for two years because he was in grad school in another state. It was the hardest two years of my life and I didn't have enough of a support system. It was critical that I kept my perspective in check and stay positive. There were a lot of times I wasn't successful. There's always going to be some form of stress in my life and I am focusing on staying positive. Perspective
