Kegging beer

A fellow brewer in Red Earth Brewers home brew club came to my house to help me keg Blonde Moment. It was incredibly easy and fast.
After getting the beer into the keg, he brought co2 to force carbonate the keg.
After that, I kicked the keg for awhile to make sure there was enough air pushed into the keg.
Then we tried it and it was warm but it is still good.
Update on the ankle, I'm still healing. I slept with the brace on last night and that was a little too much compression. Ouch!  I'm undecided on seeing a sports medicine doctor. Does the doctor have time, is there anything a doctor can even do? I suspect there isn't anything that can be done. I may just wait and trust the healing process.

High Five For Friday

Congratulations! We made it to another Friday! It is also Good Friday, a very joyous day.

The one thing that I am looking forward to is getting a manicure and pedicure tomorrow with a friend. This is truly a treat since I rarely pay to get my nails done. What color should I get? Should my toes and fingers match?

There is not much to say about this week since it hasn't been that awesome. My focus has been on healing and cleansing. I am making progress on both but I find myself struggling from time to time. I can't wait for the finished product but as always I need to walk through the entire process.

How has your week been? I am looking for guest posts for Make A Difference Monday and Weight Loss Wednesday. Please let me know if you'd like to share.

Please stay tuned for Silly Saturday, where my cats take over the blog. It should be entertaining!

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for good food, good nutrition, and the wisdom to eat right. This week, I have been on a personal cleanse. It's not over but I am over the half way point. I have used two websites as resources: here and here. I have snacked all day on good foods like strawberries and edamame.

I am also thankful that my mouth is healing. Once fully healed, I will be able to eat crunchy foods better, like carrots.

Finally, I am thankful for my support group. I have IRL friends and beautiful online friends. These people have pushed me in the right direction and encouraged me to be my best. I am truly blessed to have met these wonderful bloggers and tweeters. Most of my support system is found in social media and at the moment its almost all on twitter.

Thankful Thursday

Welcome to Thankful Thursday, a weekly exercise in staying thankful for what I have. I have been doing these posts since August and it has been instrumental in my healing. Since it is Thanksgiving, today's post is extra special. Today's feast is also extra special.
Stay tuned for photos of today on tomorrow's post: High Five For Friday.
Please share your stories of thankfulness with me. These stories always warm my heart.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for your blessings.
I am blessed with a wonderful family, great friends, and furry angels.
The delicious food that I will enjoy is another example of your great blessings.
I do not deserve your blessings but thank You for providing anyways.
Amen.
