Weekend recap via Instagram

Friday was fun but we went out twice.
I got all poetic in my drunken stupor.
Then I got up and ran 9 miles. Let's just say, the cure for a hangover is running. I felt great while hubby was not feeling good.
Fall is here!
It's been months since I've visited my mug. I had to say hi.
Our new favorite is the big truck tacos for Saturday dinner.
Sunday was less than fun. We tried to stay in and not spend money.
Did not work though. We went out for coffee. See my bike in the background? It's the cute one.
So how was your weekend?

Biking with Pizzeria Gusto

I'm more of a casual cruising biker and these folks are more of a serious hard core bikers. All was well though and I managed 8 miles some of which was on my own.
I received multiple compliments on my bike and I'm not surprised. It's cute.
Everyone has their road bikes and bike helmets and then there was me with a cruiser bike and watermelon helmet. I did get compliments on the helmet too. Ha!
The bell was quite useful and I rang it through intersections and other reasons.
After getting back it was time for food and I ordered these delicious meatballs. I met another biker who ordered the gnocchi.
So yummy! It was a great ride. They do it every Monday night with good weather and meet in the back. I'll go again if the weather cooperates. My only complaint is that I was told there'd be a 10% discount off small plates (see first picture) and that didn't happen. Oh well. I didn't have time to get into that. It was dark and my head lamp was at home.

Saturday

I love a good Saturday. The kind of day where I sleep in when I want. Leisurely start the day. I enjoy the best gym in the Oklahoma City. I find fun activities within biking distance of home. Black widow spiders are killed. Locally brewed beer is consumed. Deals were found at Kohls.

That was my Saturday (about a month ago, oops) and I hope yours was the best as well.

Disappointment

According to legend, the church down the street from my home had Martin Luther King Jr. apply for the pastoral position. He was declined due to his young age. Another disappointment made another stronger.

I have lost count how many times something has disappointed me greatly. To make the wound sting a little more, others make it sound so easy to deal with. "Like water on a duck's back." The opposite is true. Its a mental challenge and one has to be strong to move past it. I focus my energy and mind on things that don't disappoint like my cats or my family and friends. I also focus my time on positive activities such as writing, reading, biking, and playing the piano.

What was your last disappointment and how did you deal with it?

Happy Monday

After a difficult and less than fun weekend, I look forward to a good work week. I pray for wisdom, patience, and blessings. I will choose to have a good attitude and do my best work.

I also look forward to some good activities this week. Instead of biking to Monday Night Pub Pedal, I’ll be lacing my running shoes up. The group can also be found under Pedals and Pints OKC. Tomorrow, I will participate in my local Toastmasters chapter, which I enjoy immensely. I also enjoy Wednesday Connection at Peoples Church.

There are many fun things to look forward to this week. I hope you have an enjoyable week as well.

Happy Friday!

Finding the right company to work for has become a very complicated task. The company I wanted to be at rejected me and two other companies are ready to offer me a job. I am praying for the wisdom to make the best decision.

Today, I am going to have some fun. I’ll be biking from home to McNellies and then to another place in Bricktown. This is all because I started a fun group called Pedals and Pints.

What is your favorite weekend activity?
