Recap of stuff

Maybe I should link up with Joey and Kristin because this is fitting for stuff and things.
Working backwards, I went to the Red Earth Brewers meeting for about an hour. I wasn't able to stay much longer because of exhaustion from travel. I had a couple of nice chats catching up.
I ran 3.5 miles with pack pint run at Red Coyote and treated myself to the burger and shake. I hope I win the iWatch they're giving away.
Left Alaska and had some disappointing moments including losing my coveted water bottle and being kicked by an annoying kid from LAX to OKC.
Beer and pizza.
Shared a Coke with Ryan, literally.
Blue is my husband Ryan and maybe I am using literally wrong. The bottle says it for me though.
I got my nails done and I visited the tundra at Hatcher Pass in Alaska.
Other misses, I left my phone and wallet in the cab back from the wedding reception, cue the drunken meltdown. Interesting, I was able to login to find my iPhone and watch the cab go on another trip before coming back to drop off my wallet.
Final hit, I drove a Porsche as slowly as it would go. Haha! Skub was disappointed but I didn't hit a thing, including the curb.
Gotta end with the cute kitty, Gizmo, who is a sweetheart and Skub needs to love her more.

Happy New Year's Eve!

Hello friends!
It is 93 days until Antigua. Yay!

As promised, a side by side of phones. The old on the left (won't miss that broken power button!) The new iPhone 6 plus on the right. We had some trouble setting up apple pay but I was able to resolve the issue.

Coming soon is an exciting hobby for me. Brewing beer! I got my beer capper and I have tons of Rogue beer bottles.

Yes, I have lined the patio with beer bottles but soon I will commandeer these bottles and fill them with freshly brewed beer. Please stay tuned for these updates. Tonight we may be out at the museum. There will be fireworks and the roof will be open for that. It will be freezing!

Happy New Year!

Half Marathon Training and Travel Tuesday

Hello Friends!
This is a scheduled post, which is unusual for me because I'm usually blogging on my phone or iPad. FYI, there is no option to schedule posts in the lovely blogger app. (Dear Blogger, please fix that and allow html in the app too.) All of the links are to the different Sandals resorts.
It is only 94 days until our Sandals trip and I thought I would reminisce on prior trips and share a few photos. Above, is the gorgeous white sandy beaches of Exumas Bahamas. It was stunning and the service was top notch! This was our first reunion week experience and it was totally by lucky chance. We have made it our goal to go to reunion week every year now. The reason for this is two fold: tons of extra goodies (free little side trips and swag) and the crowd is not your typical honeymooners (read, a more fun crowd!)
Here I am enjoying a lovely bike ride through the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. We went in January and while it was not "hot" enough for the pool, we had a great trip. This was where we first stumbled upon Sandals Select and all the fabulous rewards.

This was us in St.Lucia La Toc and this may have been my second favorite trip to Sandals because my sweety discovered the joys of being a pool hound!

Today's half marathon training is an easy 3 miles and I will have no problem getting in those miles. I may consider some strength training at the end. It depends on how I am feeling. Lastly, I'm picking up my new phone from fedex! I will have to show off that beauty tomorrow.

Make a Difference Monday

I took the photo above with a canon elph in Jamaica. We were on a bike tour and stopped to smell the coffee. I added the words with an iphone app. Sorry they're so hard to read! There are so many inspirational posters out there, I decided to make my own. I hope this little verse encourages you to try to stop worrying.
A tall task for me, to say the least.
Please stay tuned for my first guest post on my blog.
I'm very excited!

High Five For Friday!

Welcome to High Five For Friday! Thanks Lauren at From My Grey Desk for hosting!
I feel like I should be accepting an award for making it to the end of the week.
Where to begin and who to thank first? I would like to thank my blogger friends for the encouraging comments. Thank you Subway for fueling me and a huge thank you to God for miraculously getting me through a challenging week.
Whew!
Dinner Sunday night was Dungeness Crab, a west coast treat. I love you West Coast!
This is the banana bread from Sunday, which had questionable bananas from the freezer but still worked out.
McNellies $3 burger deal and turns out there was a $3 beer deal too! Score on Wednesday!
Hilton Skirvin Christmas tree. This photo was taken last week and I'm finally sharing some Christmas love with you wonderful readers.
Thank you iPhone for taking these lovely photos. Please stay tuned for Silly Saturday.

Top Pic Tuesday

Welcome to Top Pic Tuesday. As a photographer and an artist, I feel it's important to share what I believe to be my best photos. If you would like a hard copy, I would be happy to print and send it out to you free of charge.

I like to photograph patterns, lines, and textures. This photos fits right in that category. It was snapped with my iPhone, while walking past. These lovely tiles are on the wall of a building I walk past at least once a week. Perhaps you have seen it, if you live in Oklahoma City.
Its on Sheridan a block west of the Myriad Gardens.
Please stay tuned to Weight Loss Wednesday.

Silly Saturday: Ode to iPhone

You can find the original post HERE. I was so pleased with my creative skills and decided the Ode should be reposted. Which is perfect for a Silly Saturday. On a separate note, don't you just love alliteration? Clearly, I do.

Ode to iPhone.
Your usefulness knows no bounds.
You take care of all my tunes.
Your apps number in the millions and I love all of the ones I have and have yet to discover.
My email at my fingertips and Facebook a tap away.
Losing you would be a tragedy.
I won't let that happen...again.
Dear sweet iPhone, your home is in my purse or hand. Never recklessly put on a table. Dear sweet iPhone, please work tirelessly forever for me.
Ode to iPhone.
All photos are copyrighted and mine and have absolutely nothing to do with this post except that my iPhone did take the photos. END

Ocean

The ocean is so vast and endless. I love staring out and looking for boats. The crashing waves are soothing and never ending.

Beautiful.

All of these photos are taken with my iPhone and instagrammed. E N D

Top Pick Tuesday

This photo is from my brother in laws wedding. I love lines and symmetry and I try to capture that from unique angles.

Funny but not funny then story. I had to fly to Seattle and meet up with the family. I didn't really know anyone in the wedding party but was invited to the bachelorette party. We were drinking and having a good time at this restaurant. I completely forgot my iPhone at the table but by the time I realized it we were nowhere near the restaurant. We went back and it wasn't turned in. It was gone. Forever. Cute purple case never to be seen again. I had my camera and tried to enjoy the festivities but thought about my iPhone the whole time. I had a friend pick me up at the airport and she couldn't call me since there was no iPhone. That was a challenge finding her and quite stressful. I replaced the iPhone for $500 and have never let my baby get too far from me. That wasn't my best moment in time.

Instagrid party!

I'm not sure how this looks since I'm using my iPhone. The food is last nights dinner: shrimp, mushrooms, and brown rice. Red stipe=vacation in a can. That was almost all I drank in Jamaica. Sweet kitty named Chomps. A tribute to my favorite cup from Starbucks. I love the straw! Random snack from today. It was okay but I'll stick with almonds. I'm linking up with Anne from And everything nice. I'll do that later at home. Cheers!
