Dreaming

I’m a dreamer and that usually entails big dreams for an exciting future. I do my best to find a way to make it happen. I don’t stop at dreaming. I get out and get things accomplished.

I am dreaming of my perfect job. The days will feel so short because I enjoyed every part of it. I’ll get excited when I think about this job and on my way to work. I will feel energized and enthusiastic. My creativity will soar to new heights. This is a good future.

Dear Lord, please provide the wisdom, patience, and strength necessary to get to this bright future. I know its coming and at the same time I can get so impatient with what I have today. I am thankful that you have provided this opportunity and I pray doors open to more thrilling opportunities. Amen!

Days of Studying

I’ve been studying for an exam. Its been a lot of work but I expect to pass the exam next week and be done. I’ve also done many interviews. There’s opportunity here and I am excited! I don’t know which job is the right opportunity. I’m praying for wisdom.

I went through a box of papers to see what to toss, keep, and shred. I found our marriage certificate and a ton of love notes. We used to be so lovey-dovey and now its not quite the same. We are in love over 10 years later too just not as sappy.

What was the toughest task you had to complete lately?

Opportunity

Today’s rating is Positive.

When opportunity knocks, I open the door. I had the opportunity to enjoy a workout and dinner with a friend. We even watched my favorite TV show! I don’t mind watching at her house since her TV is 1000 times better than mine. These are the times that help me feel relaxed and calm. Dear Lord, Thank you for friends! What a gift! Amen.

Distractions are good

Today’s rating is Positive.

Work was less demanding, I had a good conversation with HR at a company for a potential opportunity, and scheduled an appointment to show off the home. A lot was completed today, which is always very good.

I read an article about what to do when you hate your job. I found it useful because it is so important to distract yourself from a stressful situation. I find that I need a new distraction every day. Some days, I’m distracted by tv and other days I’m distracted by an activity with friends. This has been an effective strategy for me. If you find yourself blue and wallowing in misery, find something positive to distract you from the tough situation. You’ll feel better, like me.

I'm being honest

Today’s rating is positive.

I haven’t organized my posts. I haven’t been organized enough to plan and prepare in advance. Most times, I sit down and write what’s on my heart. You have been gracious enough to read and sometimes comment too. I appreciate your comments. It makes me feel that you are right there listening and telling me your ideas.

I am still waiting to hear about the opportunity in a new state and a new city. I am anxious to find out. In the mean time, I am preparing for the move across state lines. I don’t know what God has in store for me. I am here and ready. I feel prepared to make the move emotionally. Now it’s time for the confirmation. I hope to get the news tomorrow.

I am on a trip this weekend and will post any news on facebook and twitter. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you Lord for staying by my side.

Slow down to breathe

Today’s rating is positive.

I have a picture of these little cuties at my desk. They remind me to take things easy, to breathe when something starts to overwhelm me, and be thorough in my work. Mistakes happen and I try to reframe it into an opportunity to learn. Learning is an important part of my life. I love to learn new skills, new knowledge, and new facts.

If you ever feel overwhelmed, don’t forget the turtle. In the nursery rhyme, Tortoise and the Hare, the Tortoise won the race. We can win the race called life, as long as we remember to breathe. I hope you can remember this and have a good week.
