News and food

I managed to get a new position at work!
Which has nothing to do with these photos but I like sharing food.
I had grand schemes of blogging everyday. And then I didn't blog all weekend long.
#life.

Breaking out of the ordinary

I got to wear my new shoes and blazer at work. I love new clothes! It's an ego boost for me. I took time to practice the piano. It was tough but good for me.

Being on hold

I had some issues on my account and calling it in turned into the biggest ordeal, lasting an hour. I was on hold, spoke with someone who had a very thick accent, and now I have to wait.

Being in a service oriented society has not meant better service. It has meant being on hold. There’s never the option to ask for a call back. Nobody will call back if the cell phone drops the call. I am sure you’ve got some good examples of poor service. It might be time for a new company to take over my account.

Routine

We find comfort in routine, however I haven’t found the right balance of routine versus spontaneity. I need a routine to make sure I complete tasks consistently. Simple tasks such as reading the bible, writing the blog, taking care of the kitties (I don’t usually miss this one since they can be so vocal about their needs) are all things that I want to complete.

I haven’t gotten my routine together because I’ve moved a little over two months ago and I also have a new job. Being a first-born with input as my strength, I’ll get a routine going soon. So what routine do you have and has it been helpful? Please feel free to comment.

Something new

Today’s rating is Positive.

I did something new with my hair and it felt good! I drove a new (to me) car today and that was fun! A change of pace can deal productively with stress. It takes your mind into a different and hopefully positive place. Try it out sometime and see if it helps you.

The job hunt is not over and I am struggling to determine which way is the right way to go. At some point, I have to stop being a first born, always looking for perfection, and seize the opportunity that comes my way. Dear Lord, please give me the wisdom to know what is best. Amen.
