Out of focus

As I was running the pack pint run tonight by myself, I pondered on how best to split my time.
It was a gorgeous run, by the way. It was wet but worth it! I was trying to decide which is more important to me: running or the piano.
I decided the answer is both and I need to find a healthy balance. Maybe right now, running will take up more time but I can't stop playing the piano.
My beef with the piano right now is that I don't practice. I know. I need to practice. My chops aren't what they used to be. When the time is right, I'll get more practice in.
The case of the missing toenail is healing smoothly. The other thing I have to carve time for is brewing beer. I've done two batches and I'm itching to do a third very soon!

No Reason

I haven’t blogged much lately and I miss it. I really wanted to blog about important topics around health, life, and wellness. I thought about blogging about food, even though I am a complete failure in the kitchen. I considered blogging about business and finance since I work in the industry. Reality has hit and I haven’t written much at all.

I enjoy writing and plan to continue but I definitely need to find a new focus. With that new focus, I will have plenty of content to post on the blog. Thanks for your patience as I work this out. If you have suggestions, I am always open to feedback.

Connections

Today’s rating is Positive.

As I think about the last two years of my life, I can see that it was incredibly stressful. What is interesting to me is that the stress hasn’t changed or left but I have been able to change my frame of mind. Generally, I am a positive person but I can’t maintain that focus all the time. If I lose concentration, things can go downhill fast for me.

The only change I’ve made is reaching out to friends and family. Literally, I forced myself to email at least one person or text a different person. I had to force myself to stay in touch because I found that I was too lazy, complacent, and content to stay miserable. Yeah, that doesn’t make sense. I still have challenges to overcome but I am able to make it through with my family, friends, and God.

Thank you Lord for the connections that you have blessed me with. I could not live without relationships.
