Free wine and an award

Red Coyote is a local running store in Oklahoma City and they were hosting a customer appreciation Christmas party.
As usual, I can be bribed to attend and free wine was offered. I'd like to mention that Red Coyote does have a special place in my heart.
They give back to the community in so many ways, besides the free wine. They host a weekly run with beer provided by Coop Ale Works, also from Oklahoma City.
They collect all sorts of donations for a variety of nonprofits. And they host classes on running (those aren't free but people make lifelong friendships so that's a community service in my opinion.)
The store has only been around for 5 years and it has made quite the impact. This year the store can also boast store of the year for best running store in the country. What an accomplishment! Congrats Red Coyote! I love you for pack pint runs and great gear.
Disclaimer, I was bribed by the free flowing wine but all of this blog post is my opinion the day after the buzz has worn off. Red Coyote is a great store.

Thursday shenanigans

My weekend actually starts on Thursday after work with a 3ish mile run (or walk depending on my mood) and treats. I enjoy a free beer at the finish line and then waltz over to Tucker's for a bunless burger.
Don't let the lettuce fool you. Inside is greasy grilled onions and a generous beef patty. I do this every week. It's how I socialize with my friends.
We chit chat the whole way and catch up on what's going on. The good and the bad. It's therapeutic.
Now if I can just figure out how to take the selfie with the burger, I'd be set. Happy Friday friends!

The crown jewel of the week

Over the top dramatic? Well, maybe. Every week, I look forward to Thursday because of Red Coyote, the local running store.
They are the sponsors of the Pack Pint runs along with Coop Ale works here in Oklahoma City.
Every Thursday night, we all run and walk 3ish miles and when we get back a beer is waiting for us.
Afterwards, Tucker's, a local burger joint provides us with a free shake or beer with our onion burger. Today, I opted out of the freebie shake but not the Coop beer.
Yummy burger with bacon. Today, we ran 2 miles and walked the rest. It was a refreshing run/walk but not extremely cold. Do you have anything that you look forward to weekly?

Stuff and things

++I'm late in posting and linking with Joey and Kristin. Or I'm early for this week. Whichever. I wasn't very motivated last week.
++It snowed, which wreaked havoc in my life. I couldn't run outside! It's only three weeks until the race and my long run was over two weeks ago and it was only 8 miles! I'm psyching myself out. I can totally run a half marathon. I've done two.
++You deserve a good post on the Red Coyote Pack Pint Runs, which will happen when the creative juices are flowing. And that is not today.
++Even without my long run, I still ate pizza. It was glorious. (As all pizza is.)
++I drank some good drinks this weekend. Last week, I maintained my weight. If I don't lose any this week, I'll blame this delicious concoction.
++Some kitties were very cold tonight. This is their finest hour. They aren't talking. If you don't believe how much these guys can talk, just hit up youtube with "talking bengals". You're welcome.
