Randoms

I am getting my hair freshened up. I love blonde hair and my natural color refuses to be blonde.
I ran in the heat this morning and managed a slow 13 minute mile. Then I went to get the MRI on my ankle.
That was really weird and loud. The tech said the pictures were good for the doctor. I'll find out Thursday what is in my ankle.
This snack was fabulous. #cheese makes the world go round.

Wednesday happenings

I had a very busy day. Too busy. I'm hoping tomorrow can calm down but it's not looking good for me.
I spent over an hour getting to the hair salon and getting my hair colored and cut. That was one of my problems.
We saw the Foo Fighters last night. I stayed up too late and got up too early. Thank goodness for coffee and tea!
Gary Clark Jr. opened and he did a great job!
We were complete nosebleed seats. There was no one behind us!
I love how my hubby refuses to smile in photos. He likes to look mysterious.
My hubby's company went through major layoffs. So far, he is still there. I'm praying that stays for awhile!
I have a job interview tomorrow! I've done a lot of preparation for it. Fingers crossed that I'll do good. It's a raise if I get it!
Dave broke his leg. Nate (the bass player) had a baby. The Foo Fighters put out a great two and a half hour show with no encore. They played tons of great tunes and I did enjoy the show.

Hair and bloggers

I walked into Flux Salon with a lovely French braid, done by me. My stylist took the pic for me. I walked out of the salon with a fresh color and it feels wonderful!
If you're in Oklahoma City, April owns the salon and does a great job. When I got home, I had a box waiting for me from Kristin at Stuff and Things. Actually the box had been waiting on me for a few days because I hadn't sent Kristin her box yet.
She did a great job of spoiling me with treats and she didn't forget the kitties.
The magnet from Manitou Springs graces my fridge next to my prized bumper sticker from Portland Oregon (a place I like to call home.)
The colors mug fits marvelously in my "you were here" collection from Starbucks. (Side note:I used to live there and have a mug from the prior collection. The new collection stacks.)
The bracelet looks cute next to my Nike fuel band. I keep the fuel band on at all times. I love using it!
The notebook is so cute with the arrows. I'm deciding on how I'll use it, I dug into the peanut butter cups right away and then stuck it in the freezer for future enjoyment. I think Kirby likes the toys. I didn't write a little note. I just shipped the box off and I meant to buy a Starbucks gift card but didn't get a chance. #bloggerfails Next time, I'll have to do better.
Final note: I'm working with April at Flux Salon to see if she'd buy one of Ryan's paintings. She asked that I tag her on his instagrams and I did. Ryan was not pleased with me because some of his instagrams are not for sale and he doesn't like his early paintings. So, if you get a chance, check out ryanchristopherart on Instagram and peruse his posts. I think his work is great and maybe you will too.

Inluenster Voxbox by Herbal Essences

I would like to thank Influenster for giving me this box and let you know that these are my opinions. I received this box for free and am sharing my thoughts. This is my second box and so far my favorite.

The box had a full size of Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo, a travel size of shampoo and a travel size of conditioner. These products are meant to be super conditioning and I noticed.

I first tried the dry shampoo because I have a laziness that knows no bounds. I've taken to washing my hair twice a week. At first my hair didn't seem too pleased but I don't really notice any more. I want to do the bare minimum but still look presentable. Dry shampoo is great for that because it soaks up the grime and oiliness, which leaves hair feeling clean.

After:

I'm not sure why my hair has the waves in it but it does look a lot smoother. I also tried the shampoo and conditioner. I noticed a huge difference from the sulfite-free color shampoo and conditioner I've been using. My hair is so soft and silky. Hopefully, the color won't fade too fast from using this new shampoo but I really like how my hair feels.

Happy Friday!

High Five For Friday

I am so excited for tomorrow! I am getting my hair colored! I am ready to look awesome and perhaps I'll share with you all how good I'm looking.
This week was fairly successful in the kitchen and I was over calories but just barely most days. Here's to a good weigh in tomorrow. Are you excited for the weekend too?
I am linking up with the best blogger Lauren at From My Grey Desk.
Please stay tuned for Silly Saturday.
