Silly Saturday

My cats have been a huge blessing in my life, enriching me with entertainment, love, and aggravation. As I have been hunting diligently for a new home, I have discovered places where animals are not accepted. These owners must not understand the joys of pet ownership and that is sad. Plus it means I can't consider that home. My family is complete with the kitties and I can't imagine losing them or giving them away. (Truthfully, I think about giving Kirby away sometimes because his meows hurt my ears. Nobody likes a complainer, Kirby.)

Sweet glances, cat attacks, chases, playing with toys, meows, purrs, arm sucking, cuddles and I could go on with all the silly and sweet things our kitties do. Do you have pets? How have they enriched your lives?

If you haven't already, there is time for you to enter the giveaway here. Please stay tuned for serious Sunday.

Bengal Cats Rule

We are interrupting the usual blog post. Chomps and Kirby are taking over. My name is Chomps (gray kitty) and I'm named after a movie about a dog. My human companions are crazy like that and I truly hate anything dog related. My favorite activities are talking and sleeping. I'm never afraid to speak my mind especially when I don't get my way. I'm an athletic jumper and have broken many fragile items. My favorite human is Ryan and I just love to curl up next to him. My name is Kirby (brown kitty) and I'm named after a vacuum cleaner. My human care takers thought that was a funny name. My favorite activities are sleeping and eating. Sometimes I like to run around and scream at the top of my lungs. When I want to be heard, I'm like a lion. I'm not really big on jumping or purring but I do love to play. I'll play in the toilet or with a mouse. The toilet is not usually open for me. My human care takers have been very good to me and I repay the favor by accepting head scratches. Shhh, don't tell them I love head scratches. We are very good pets for indoors especially if you love to hear us talk. One of these days we will share our stories. They're pretty funny stories too! Thanks for enjoying this post by Chomps and Kirby. END

Hear our roar

We are Bengal cats and we love to talk. Sometimes we sound like a leopard, our distant relatives. We are part housecat and part Asian Leopard and that's why we look so exotic and spotted. Our names are Chomps (gray) and Kirby (brown.) We play and sleep and eat together.

We talk to our companions about our day, or needing food, or our opinion on the Presidential election. We expect our companions to vote Republican and we would too if cats were allowed to vote. Talking is our second favorite activity to sleeping. We sleep about 20 hours a day.  We conserve all our energy so we can talk to our companions when they are home.  We are Bengal cats.

Kirby's blog post

Kitties don't blog but if they did it would be like this post.

"Yawn" and stretch. According to my calendar, its time to get up at 5am because that's when my human companions get up. There's no sleeping in on a Saturday. I better walk around and yell loudly to get them going. Nobody's going to get a late start. Finally, they got up and I'm going to take a cat nap for many hours.

Now that was quite a good nap. I don't know what those humans are up to but I want to play. I better walk around and yell loudly to get their attention. Hmm, they misunderstood me and gave me an early dinner. That's ok. I can play later. I love eating a delicious dinner of crunchies and wet food.  I hear something interesting in the living room, I better go and investigate. There's a curious red dot on the floor and I can't quite figure out what it is. On top of that, I can't seem to ever catch it. I'll keep trying because there's a chance I could get lucky.

Whew, I'm getting pretty tired and its late. I better take another cat nap. Uh-ho, I slept too much. I know its completely dark in the house but I better walk around and yell as loudly as I can to make sure there's no strangers in the house. What's that I hear? I better go to the bedroom to investigate and then I can go back to sleep. zzzzzz
