Bengal cats

I was going to write a post about my laziness but I've decided to wait for now. Today's post is about the Bengal cats.
This is Chomps and he is sweetheart. He's capable of making 100 different meows. He's almost 10 years old and he's still coming up with new sounds.
This is Kirby and he's a runt. At times I'm not sure he knows how to be a cat. He has his moments where he wants attention but don't get into his bubble.
Chomps has big ears.
Kirby doesn't have big ears and we think that's a trait related to the Asian leopard that he's descended from. Kirby has a little white chin but the rest of him is dark.
There's two things you need to know about Bengal Cats: they're talkers and very loyal. Chomps is attached to Ryan. Nothing can sway his love for Ryan. Being gone for a week means you'll hear a week's worth of meows in two days.
It's rarely quiet in the house unless they both decide to sleep. Those are moments that I cherish. Both cats have a high level of energy and need to be played with daily. Forgetting to play with Kirby can mean he will wake up at 3 am looking for a game and meowing loudly.
Lastly, the cats are gorgeous with their spots. The spots are on their backs and bellies. Their legs and tail is striped. We love how exotic they look and that's why they are indoor kitties. Someone would surely steal them if they were outside.
Are Bengal cats for you? Do you have one or two Bengal cats? I'd love to connect with you if you do. We can commiserate together.

Silly Saturday

My cats have been a huge blessing in my life, enriching me with entertainment, love, and aggravation. As I have been hunting diligently for a new home, I have discovered places where animals are not accepted. These owners must not understand the joys of pet ownership and that is sad. Plus it means I can't consider that home. My family is complete with the kitties and I can't imagine losing them or giving them away. (Truthfully, I think about giving Kirby away sometimes because his meows hurt my ears. Nobody likes a complainer, Kirby.)

Sweet glances, cat attacks, chases, playing with toys, meows, purrs, arm sucking, cuddles and I could go on with all the silly and sweet things our kitties do. Do you have pets? How have they enriched your lives?

If you haven't already, there is time for you to enter the giveaway here. Please stay tuned for serious Sunday.

Silly Saturday

Y..a..w..n..., scratch, scratch, scratch. E-diddy is taking the day off and we are taking over. We had a tough night sleeping last night. The bed was missing my favorite person in the whole world! My name is Chomps and I love my main squeeze R (to protect the innocent, I'll just use initials.) I am always depressed when he leaves.

The most interesting part of our day is usually 2 hours before dinner time. We gang up against the humans and begin the loud process of begging for dinner. Sure, it gets annoying and sometimes we meow at the same time in harmony. If we can get dinner early, then we can be happy.

We are really gentle with our humans and we love them but we don't care about their stuff. If its not a toy for us, it should have been. Furniture quickly turns into scratching posts until we get scolded. Dang it!

YEOWL....YEOWL....YEOWL!!! My name is Kirby and I don't meow. I'm proud to say I'm a screamer. I love to scream and sometimes I do it for no reason. It took me a long time to trust these humans but after a few years I realized they're pretty cool. I am a good looking cat and I'm always preening to make sure.

E-diddy wants you to stay tuned for Serious Sunday. Thanks for reading!

Sleeping Sunday

My favorite time of day is the "Chomps sweet hour." My cat Chomps is a good kitty but can be annoying with his constant meows. Thankfully, there is a time of day when he is always quiet, always ready for a head scratch, and quick to purr. He's not ready to get up and out of bed. He's still a little sleepy but not asleep. His eyes are half open and he looks so sweet. That's why we call it the "Chomps sweet hour." It doesn't always last an hour unfortunately but it's nice to cuddle with him. Afterwards, he's awake and ready to speak his mind. What a good kitty. Tomorrow, I have a verse to share for make a difference Monday and hopefully a mug swap reveal. Please stay tuned.
