Weightloss Wednesday

It is weightloss wednesday and I wanted to share an adventure I had in the kitchen. It was a lot of work. If it wasn't for trying to save money and lose weight, I would go out all the time or hire someone else to do all the dirty work in the kitchen. II had all these vegetables and macaroni noodles. After chopping the vegetables up, I through them in a pan with Pam until they looked soft and decent. I had a flounder that I steamed in the microwave with the zip and steam. Even with all the conveniences I use, I think it took too long. For the noodles, I used a table spoon of extra virgin olive oil, in hopes it would stop the noodles from sticking together. It appears to have worked. The adventure was a success. Whew!

My first guest post was yesterday over at Hi It's Jilly! Thanks Jilly for letting me share my iphone love with you and your readers. http://hiitsjilly.blogspot.com/2012/09/ode-to-iphone-guest-post-from-esther-at.html END

Thanks

I am not sure what happened yesterday but today definitely turned out better. I accomplished so much! When I got off work, I did one load of laundry and I put the dishes away. That deserves tons of kudos.

Stress is a problem and when it gets to be too much I can get into all sorts of trouble: eating my emotions, wallowing in my emotions, losing my zeal for fun things.

I have crossed this bridge before.  I am trying to remember the way and using mindfulness techniques. At this point in time, I am not safely across the bridge but I will get there again.  Thanks for your prayers and support. I will send my prayers and support your way, if you tell me. Happy hump day friends!

Accomplishment

Today’s rating is Positive.

I know from personal experience, when I’m struggling with life, I feel better when I have completed something. It can be something that needed to be done or something that I wanted to do. The feeling of accomplishment can help erase bad feelings. It makes me feel strong, especially when I am in the middle of feeling weak.

I did laundry, dishes, and grocery shopping today. Nothing exciting or life changing but I feel good. My biggest accomplishment was completing the MBA program at CU Denver. What is your biggest accomplishment or proudest moment?
