Dedication

I've learned that playing the piano takes dedication and I can play any song that I put to lots of practice. It took several years of practice and slowly going through the measures but now I can play Fur Elise by Beethoven from memory.

If I can stay dedicated to learning one song, then I know I am strong enough to get through any variety of challenges that comes with life.

Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me the strength and wisdom to know all things can be done through You. Amen

Life lessons from the piano

1: Its hard to remember to sit up straight when in the middle of the song. I know I need to do it and I remember at the beginning and the end.

2: Practice is important because you can't wing a recital. I can't remember the song unless I keep practicing it.

3: Music should be shared. I always get great joy from sharing my music and my knowledge with others. I am preparing to accept new students so I can pay it forward.

4: Music is a blessing and everyone who listens gets a little piece of it.

Tough Decisions

Today’s rating is Positive.

I forgot the nap that I deserved but I played the piano for the first time in 3 months. Happily, I haven’t forgotten anything. At church the one thing that stood out for me was how we need to be passionate for God and make a difference. I know that I am supposed to play the piano but I also know that now is not my time. I need to practice so when it is my turn, I will be ready to jump right in.

I am also dealing with a tough decision about church. I don’t feel that Watermark has enough support for me because its a small church. Should I go try a bigger church? On the other hand, I should be leaving around May or June. Is it realistic to create new relationships just to leave them? These are questions that I don’t know the answer to. I am praying and seeking counsel. If you have any advice, please share! Thanks!
