Running and Red Earth Brewers

Hello cute new shoes next to the old pair. I ran 4.56 miles today. The training calendar said 9 miles. I was shooting for 5 miles. I couldn't do the 9 because the gym doesn't open early enough on Saturday and I have to work today. I could end up with the 9 when I get walking around. I'll get back on track next week too. I have a month to break in these new shoes. Yay! Go girl half OKC!!
Home brewers meetings are great because you get to try everyone's labor of love. I've applied for my free Brewers license with the state of Oklahoma. (This state is so backwards to most of the country when it comes to liquor laws. It's on my list of dislikes.)
We met at a working brewery, Roughtail. They're good and started out as home Brewers too. So I enjoyed taking photos of all the equipment. Maybe I can get big too. For now, I'll start in my kitchen.
Hello yeast! I'm excited to add zymology to my list of knowledge. I'll be starting before the end of March. Ryan said, I'm not allowed to name my brews until I start changing recipes and coming up with my own beers. I'll keep dreaming up names anyways. My tap will be a cat's paw.
Red Earth Brewers meet once a month on the third Thursday of the month. They have someone talk about brewing and everyone swaps stories and beers. It's bittersweet to go because I'm missing out on pack pint runs. Maybe I can squeeze them both in when the meeting is near classen curve.
Email me if you're interested in getting connected with Red Earth Brewers. I can't put in links on my lovely blogger app. And the last picture is my pizza last night. Yum!

  1. Wait...a license to have a home brew....what? NC is a big viticulture state so we're a bunch of winos over here but the micro brews are up and coming. I'm more of a wine drinker but I totally respect the beer makers...I mean do you know how hard college would have been without them? Anyhoo...the Nikes are cute but my feet and Nikes don't mix I'm a NB girl. That's code for screwball feet. The pizza looks awesome!!!

  2. I'm surprised you have to have a license to home brew!

You have issues putting links into blogger or putting links in when you're using the blogger app?

  3. Love your shoes! I need some new running shoes. I am not sure what kind to get, my feet are so weird. There is a place near here that specializes in helping people pick out shoes. They watch you run and make suggestions based on your foot shape and your running style. What a cool brewing event...mmmm beer!!!

I love all comments, questions, and positive feedback. Constructive criticism is questionable. Joking, a little. :)
