Travel Tuesday

Welcome to Travel Tuesday! If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you will notice that I love animals! They are sweet loving creatures and lots of fun to cuddle and play with. (Except when my cats get up at 3:00 am to play, that is not cute.) This trip was in 2004 (long before Steve Irwin passed away and a sad day for me and other animal lovers), and we had to visit the The Australia Zoo. The Zoo was amazing! I helped hold a baby crocodile, we met Harriet the giant tortoise from The Galapagos (she was so sweet and we watched her snack on lettuce and get a belly scratch from the trainer, she passed away in 2006), and held an albino snake (which is a hilarious photo that I conveniently can't find.) The snake had a thing for me since she was squeezing my arm tightly. We also had our photo taken with the cutest baby koala (another photo in the archives.) There were parrots, camels, kangaroos, and tons of trainers roaming with animals to show off. We saw a crocodile get a meaty treat. The zoo was an incredible experience and we easily enjoyed 6 hours taking it all in (probably longer). I'd go back in a heartbeat. It looks as though Steve's life work is living on through that zoo. Crikey! I still have to share the Koala stories and Sydney. Stay tuned until next week and tomorrow will be Weight Loss Wednesday.

  3. Oh, I wish I had made it to the Australia Zoo! And that I had paid to hold a koala bear! At the time it seemed to expensive to me, but in hindsight I bet it was so totally worth it, right?

I love all comments, questions, and positive feedback. Constructive criticism is questionable. Joking, a little. :)
