Travel Tuesday

Welcome to Travel Tuesday, where I link up with Helene at Helene In Between. Today is the final Australia post. It's been fun recounting the trip andi hope you've enjoyed it as well. In Sydney, we stay in a little hostel. It was cozy with common areas for everyone. We had our own room with either a queen or a full bed. We did share the bathroom with the other guests and there was the hassle of doors closing at 10pm. We didn't stay out late. We enjoyed the opera house and within walking distance is a huge park with a native (but not welcome) population of bats. There's also a herd of wild cockatoos. They were so cute and friendly, especially when you have nuts. There was an incredible aquarium with some cool fish to look at, including sharks and a sweet seal. We had Hard Rock Cafe for dinner twice, because I found a coupon for free drinks. I'm a sucker for a deal. We also enjoyed Starbucks, McDonalds, and Subway on this trip. It still tasted foreign. We had to eat on the cheap since we had not found jobs yet when we returned from the trip. Ketchup is not a big condiment there and I always had to ask for more at least twice. the Subway had pineapple for sandwiches. while there we were introduced to Diet Coke Lime and loved it. To this day, it reminds me of Australia. There was a fun monorail to ride through Sydney but it doesn't take you very far. My favorite part was hunting for the perfect photo and our last morning was spent chasing the sunrise. The trip was epic and I can't wait for the next adventure. Please stay tuned for Weight Loss Wednesday.

I love all comments, questions, and positive feedback. Constructive criticism is questionable. Joking, a little. :)
