Weight Loss Wednesday

Welcome to weight loss Wednesday. We need to support each other and share tips. This is a special place for me since I have struggled with weight for my entire life. I can remember being chubby as a kid. I can remember the size 16s getting tight on me. Junior year of high school, I started to slowly lose some of the weight and I graduated at a size ten. My smallest size was a size 6 but I'm closer to 8 right now. Sadly, I have pants that I can't wear because of my slow climb in weight. I'll lose it, slowly.

Progress report: over the three months of holidays, I managed to lose 3.4 pounds. You may have noticed my excited update on twitter or on facebook. I see success in those numbers but at the same time I would have liked better progress. I have two goals: to lose 7 pounds in about two months and then to possibly to lose another five. I have split it up because the first goal gets my body to the easy to maintain spot. I haven't been there since 2010 and its time to get back.

Please share your successes and tips with me. If you'd like to guest post, please write something and email it to me at estherdavison@gmail.com. Thanks!

  1. Your goals are great! They're so reasonable an doable. Dinner plate looks yummy, just added asparagus to the grocery list! I highly recm'd water!! So many empty calories and lots of sugar in soda and some fruit drinks. I notice immediate changes if I choose other drinks over water! But I think you're doing great!!! Love seeing the update on the blog&twitter!

  4. Congrats it is so difficult. The big thing I find is adding that 1/2 hour of exercise into your day to compliment your eating well.

  5. Congrats on the loss! I dropped 3 this year so far. Yay! I just discovered a yummy new salad dressing. If you like Caesar salads, try it! Bolthouse Farm Caesar Parmigiano...made with yogurt. It was yummy! I am trying to up my veggie intake. Have a great day!

  7. Congrats on your progress so far, it sounds like you're on track to reach all of your goals! I suppose the only advice I can offer has kind of already been said: Drink lots of water, and choose water over fruit juice and soda (even diet soda can lead to more cravings) Try to eat lots of veggies, more veggies than fruit. And try exercising just 30 minutes a day if you can, even if it's a walk. That's ALL my advice :) All the best! I'm trying to get healthier in the new year too

I love all comments, questions, and positive feedback. Constructive criticism is questionable. Joking, a little. :)
