Weight loss Wednesday & foodie pen pals

For weight loss Wednesday, I participated in Foodie Pen Pals courtesy of Lean Green Bean. What a great idea to send yummy foods to people. I had already eaten one of the Clif Bars before I could take a pic but that's ok. The coconut chips were heavenly and I'm so excited to try the pumpkin soup. I am all about the pumpkin right now. I have decided to participate again and hope to be paired with someone that has Trader Joes. That place has cool food. The best place for good food in Oklahoma City is Whole Foods. To be fair, Oklahoma City needs to get the grocery stores better stocked and better locations. Currently I have no grocery store within 5 minutes of my house. There's a Walmart about 15 minutes away and that would be the closest. What a shame and a hassle for me.

Happy Halloween to those that celebrate it. Clearly, I do not.

  2. There so much interesting food at good prices. When will the rest of the US wise up and let Trader Joes do their thing?

  3. I've never had pumpkin soup before, now I really want to track some down and try it for lunch. We're getting a Trader Joe's in Greensboro NC, and our first Whole Foods just opened! We're pretty pumped!

    1. I hope you had a chance to look it over. Its a lot of fun! You send a delicious food package to someone and a different person sends you a sweet package. Its fun to meet new people through these swaps.

I don't celebrate Halloween either. Don't feel bad.

I want to try that pumpkin soup...we have NO good grocery stores here either! No whole foods stores...no Walmart...nothing...

    1. Its frustrating to not have a decent place for food. Have you had a hard time coping? We've been here for a year and a half and its been a tough transition on the food front.

I love all comments, questions, and positive feedback. Constructive criticism is questionable. Joking, a little. :)
