Make A Difference Monday

I have a new committee I have joined and I am thrilled to share it with you, next week. It's been such a long time since I have written a list on my blog. Personally, I love lists and I thought it would be fun to do a list everyday of the week.
Today's list is my Top 5 Reasons For Giving Back
5) While helping others, you can meet new friends.
4) It helps improve the community and environment.
3) Other people feel good.
2) You can help out doing fun things.
1) Volunteering helps you feel better about yourself.
My number one reason is selfish. A couple of years ago I was stressed out of my mind and depressed. I read from Cosmo that if I gave back, I would feel better about myself. It was an effective therapy for me and I have been giving back ever since.
Tomorrow: look forward to a Top Pick Tuesday, where I'll share one of my favorite photos.

  1. Following back! Volunteering is a great idea, and when you stay busy, you keep your mind off of "things". It helped me when I first moved to Boise. I volunteered with the March of Dimes. Hope you enjoy your Labor Day :)

    1. At the time, that was what I needed but I've found it to be rewarding every time. I will be frank, I volunteer more for me than for others but that's ok since others still benefit. Thanks for following back!

  4. That's so great! I used to volunteer a lot back in high school, but haven't really found an organization I could really connect to since. I definitely want to find one this year thought and get back into it! But I agree with your #1 reason! As much as giving back helps others, at the end of the day, it makes you feel better too! A good selfish, i guess haha
I'm thrilled to be your newest follower and would love it if you could return the follow if you get the chance and wish to :)

I love all comments, questions, and positive feedback. Constructive criticism is questionable. Joking, a little. :)
